We know how important it is for parents and carers to have childcare they can rely on — and for children to feel happy, safe and completely at home.
Woodlands Childcare provides high-quality before-school, after-school and Nursery wraparound care for children at Woodlands. Based within our school, our provision offers children a familiar, welcoming environment where they can relax, play, make friends and enjoy a wide range of engaging activities.
Our caring and experienced team take the time to get to know every child. We work closely with school and Nursery staff so that children receive consistent care and support throughout their day.

Before School Care
Our before-school club provides a calm and welcoming start to the day. Children can settle in, spend time with friends and prepare for the school day ahead.
Our before school club runs from 7.30am until the start of the school day.

After School Club
At the end of a busy school day, children have time to relax, play and enjoy being with their friends. Activities are planned around children’s interests and may include creative activities, games, imaginative play and time outdoors.
Our After School Club runs from 3.15pm until 6.00pm.

Wraparound Nursery
Our Nursery morning session runs from 8.45am to 11.45am.
For children who are eligible, or for families who wish to pay for additional hours where spaces are available, we offer a Wraparound Nursery session from 11.45am to 3.15pm.
This means that Nursery children can stay at school for the full day, from 8.45am to 3.15pm.
Our childcare team work closely with Nursery staff to provide a smooth transition between the morning and afternoon sessions. Activities build upon children’s interests and learning while giving them plenty of time to play, explore and develop their independence.
30 Hours Funded Childcare
Some families may be eligible for 30 hours funded childcare. This can be used to access our afternoon Wraparound Nursery provision.
Parents and carers are responsible for checking eligibility and applying for a 30 hours code through the Government website. This code must be shared with school before the deadline so that funded places can be confirmed.
Paid Nursery Sessions
Where spaces are available, families may also be able to pay for additional Nursery afternoon sessions.

Lunch

Nursery children can either bring a packed lunch or have a school meal, which is available at an additional cost. School meals are not funded by the Government until children are in Reception.
